The month of Ramadan is a month in which the Mercy and Blessings of Allah Ta’ala descend upon us continuously.
The whole Qur’aan was sent down to the first sky from Lawhe Mahfooz.
There is the night of Qadr, which is better than 1000 months.
The thawaab of good deed is equal to the fardh of another month. Tthe daily bread of Muslims is increased.
The first ten days are of mercy, second ten days are of forgiveness and the last ten days are of being freed from Hell.
This is the month of patience and the reward of this patience is Jannah.

O my people! worship Allah! you have no other god but Him (7:59)

Getting bored ? Nothing to do ?Ok don’t worry! Here are few ways to kill your boredom.
Hang out with family & friends or watch comedy movies that helps to kill some time.
Do you have internet, right? Don’t say no because you related to this world and in this world everyone has internet facility. Write blogs on different websites on your favorite topics and upload them. It may increase your knowledge as well as develop writing habits.
Show some talent, your abilities what you can do in your leisure time. Take an admission in creative classes where instructor teaches you about creative work. Stuff such as crystal work , fomic work , gift wrapping etc
Every girl has a passion of designing her own clothes right ? start dress designing. Google the design and do your research. Many designers have their official fan pages online. Take ideaS from theM and design your own outfits and upload on social websites. People might love to see your posted work.
Last but not the least, bake a cake or some special manpasand food for your loved ones and invite your mates to join you. I am sure it will help you slip out of boredom sooner than later .

By Gulzar Nayani

Have u ever wondered why we are so apart?
Why there is so much hatred for each other in our hearts?
Why the land is drowning with tears?
Why our hearts are filled with so many fears?

The reason behind all this is that we have forgotten what once we were taught.
That all men are equal in the eyes of God.
He made us in different nations and tribes so that we can know each other.
These aren’t the sings of superiority these aren’t the signs of being better

Look at the nature and tell me what you see.
Nature also teaches us the lesson of diversity and acceptance don’t you agree
Look at the sun & moon rotating in their own axis.
Neither deviating their own paths nor disturbing one another
The glorious rainbow gleaming seven different rays of light .

Making our life colorful & bright.
Flowers, mountains, seasons & the sea.
All of them tell us the tales of harmony.
Yet Human eyes fail to recognize these signs & symbol.
They consider themselves intellectuals breaking the laws of nature.

A single human even has a diverse world hidden insight.
The Body, mind & Soul aren’t all alike.
Each has it different dimension.
But without any one of these human would not be consider alive.

We can’t erase the diversity.
God made us different; the difference is meant to be appreciated don’t you see.
It is a powerful force for good helping to fashion new sense of cooperation.
All accepting each other, keeping the differences aside working together .

This is an appeal from our side.
Stop fighting each other in the name of religion, race and rights.
Stop the wars, stop the battles stop the fights.
Cause you aren’t serving your Lord right.
Cause you aren’t serving your Lord right.

By:Maidah Haris Dar

As I was getting ready for a party my 8 year old cousin looked at me and said,
“You’re so lucky baji, you are a grown up you can do anything.”

I looked at her and smiled at her naivety. Children! What do they know being a grown up is anything but lucky. But I don’t blame her; at one time I harbored a similar wish. A wish that I’d grow up soon, so that I could be free, but then reality kicked in and knocked me to my senses.

Looking through the eyes of a child being an adult looked like the ultimate prize that one could get. It entailed no studying, all fun, going out and doing as you please; no permission required no questions asked. It was a bed of roses or so it looked like one.

The truth however was a little different, the bed of roses painted a wonderful picture when seen from that tender young age, but as one nears it they realize that the roses are not alone but accompanied by thorns. It is these thorns that make our life difficult, that diminish that joy of adulthood.

With the passage of time, we grow out of the bubble that was around us. We come in contact with the real world and the reality is that in our everyday life we are burdened by responsibilities and hence have no time for leisure. Men and women alike are busy in the race of life, trying to make their careers, trying to provide their family with all the necessities of life. Most of us never pause, or look around at the beautiful things that life has to offer.

Everyone is so caught up in their world that the magic of looking at the world differently, the creativity and the joyfulness has gotten lost somewhere. Oscar Wilde once said “To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.” Today people have become cynical; they are full of anger and frustration. We’re not living we just exist.

I look at my little cousin and think that yours is a world full of happiness and joy. You think that when people grow up they get wings and they soar high with freedom, but the truth is that we are born with wings, which wither as we grow older.

Time once gone can not come back, and so there is a need to keep that magic alive, to bring back the lost joy. Before it is too late, take out a little time from the daily hum of life; laugh a little, enjoy a little. Life is a journey and we should live each moment because you only get one shot at it so make the most of it.

By Gulzar Nayani

I tightened my sweaty knuckles over the handles, eying from him to the ground, again and again going back and forth. How do they even get to know that it is time to let go, opening up the cage and saying fly little birdy fly, Who Me? But I am not ready yet, I am not ready yet to let go, besides have u seen the world out there, what if I fall? Get slammed, walked upon? What if I break my leg, shatter my wings .No mommy daddy I don’t want to go and you can’t make me. Well here I was proved to be wrong .Actually they can, so here I was sitting on my very first two wheeler, been asked for taking it for its first ride.
Me : But daddy I don’t wanna , I am scared.
Dad: there is nothing to be afraid of princess I am right by your side.
Me : What if I fall and hurt my self ?
Dad: You won’t if I would be holding on to you.
Me : Promise you would not let go ?
Dad: I promise.
So I finally found the courage to push the paddles a little, it helped a lot seeing my dad over the shoulders, and what did you know I actually started to like it. I felt like a bird who had first time flattered its wings in the open air. I turned around to whiteness my dad’s proud face. But to my surprise he wasn’t there, he had let go of me. The distance that had now emerged between us felt like a distance of eternity.

How could he, didn’t his promise meant anything to him? He knew I was terrified, he knew I was scared. Still he left me all alone. He lied to me. I put my feet down to put the bicycle to a stop. Gave dad a long perplexed stare, I didn’t know what to say to him, so I tried to storm right out of the park. But he got a hold of me. Never then I was ready to take a ride on that bike ever again. I didn’t do so because I feared of falling. Fate and dad both tried to teach me a lesson that day but I guess I was not ready for it back then. But after all those years I tend to find wisdom in that un- finished bicycle lesson.

There are many times in life that we just want to run away and hide. Because we fear we would not be able to make it. We fear of humiliation, we fear being left alone in this world crowded with millions of people. The fear of failure can prove to be several time worst than the actual failure; it is what breaks you more over the time working like a slow poison. The only way to life is looking in its face and telling it I am not scared of you anymore and walk right over it. Conquer it and beat it. One can’t stop living; stop taking those wonderful chances that life unfolds just because they fear the unknown. To be alive we have to pronounce our fears to be dead first.

By Merym Saudagar

Usually my days have a very fresh and energetic start. Full of new hopes and ambitions. But that day, it wasn’t like that. It was a very dull start of my day; I was so dizzy, sleepy. But then only, I heard someone listening to the best of Cat Stevens and Bee Gees. I was so mesmerized by the beats, the soothing and calm voice of the singer. It all took me to the another world.
A world which made me realize that music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot be remain silent. Life without music is a waste, a mistake. It’s the medicine of mind. It has the beauty of loneliness of pain, of strength, freedom. The beauty of disappointment and never satisfied love. Music, releases the pain. It helps to stand up against the tough challenges of the life. It is a discipline, a mistress of order and good manners; it makes the people milder and gentle, more reasonable and more moral.
It also made me realize that life’s not about counting your defeats or how miserable you’ve been throughout the time, but it’s about the thousand reasons life gave us to celebrate, to cherish.
I believe every bad day can be overcome by listening to music; it has to be simple, plain and obviously true. There’s nothing like music to relieve the soul and uplift it.
When Music and words get together that can be a very powerful thing. The power of music is immeasurable. It is the language of soul. It is intended and designed for sentient beings that have hope, purpose and emotions.

A few days ago I was walking alongside the beach with my friend, she on the shallow waves, while I preferred to walk on the sand ,she asked me the usual question , the question one immediately pops in somewhat relaxed surroundings, Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I was about to launch an answer where I say a high paying job, fame, fortune and family and that I finally am slim, but I held myself just in time and replied , “Enjoying myself” .

Why is that we are always in the hurry to go to the next phase of life .I have found very few people enjoying life for what it really is. As kids, you want to be an adult , as an adult you realized what a bliss childhood was and that you failed to enjoy it .Even as an adult you grumble away your life about the responsibilities that burden you and before you know it time is up and you basically did nothing constructive in life. There are a few things I believe that if one follows surely will have a peaceful and happy life.

“ The earth has music for those who listen.”
- Shakespeare

And it is true; you don’t need grand moments that can be enjoyed. It is totally upto you how you extract moments from your life and make them special. Little moments such as eating ,cooking or going on a drive if enjoyed can take the grumpiness out of you. Stop trying to frisk through everything ,multi task. Do one thing at a time, you will do better as well as and maybe even like it along the way.

“Be the type of person you would like to meet.”
-Unknown.

The only person you become is the person you decide to be. So instead of grouchiness, embrace happiness. Life is too short anyway, stop hating and start loving. We keep on worrying about the future or dwell on our past therefore we hardly pay attention into enjoying our present. Laugh at your own embarrassing moments, it is better and easier o cope with it that way.

“Wealth consists not in having great possessions, but in having few wants.”
― Epictetus
Money is a pretty important thing, but it shouldn’t be the driving force of your life. Every thought shouldn’t be on calculating profits. One should learn to feel contented and grateful on what one has. Otherwise you can never be satisfied And to live life in that stress is plain pathetic.

“If you end up with a boring miserable life because you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest, or some guy on television telling you how to do your shit, then you deserve it.”
― Frank Zappa
Stop trying to conquer the world by pleasing everyone. By all you are losing bits of yourself. So be you, only change for better, for the people who really matter to you. People may come and go; only a selected few will care. Just realize their importance and cherish them.

“Self pity is easily the most destructive of the non-pharmaceutical narcotics; it is addictive, gives momentary pleasure and separates the victim from reality.”
― John Gardner
Never ever wallow in self pity .That I believe is just digging an early grave for yourself as it destroys your soul and entire existence .We see our problems that are there and some that are not even there. You don’t see the good things in life. You lose your self respect , your self esteem. If you don’t respect yourself or have faith in yourself you can hardly expect other to. Plus you need to live with yourself, would you live with a soul sucker, or it is better to live with someone who believes in sunshine and happiness.

In this fast paced life we live in, we have forgotten the art of living. It is one of the basic reason why we aren’t happy anymore. We go to parties, we rarely enjoy. Some of us go to keep a pretense , others to climb high on the social ladder .Only a relative few actually party. Your dancing steps may be a few decades old , and your movements jerky .People may mock you but then dance . You may give birth to the next Gangam style or Harlem shake. Stop over thinking everything you do and always take time for yourself.

As we walked ahead we saw a bunch of kids ,frolicking around in the tides , trying to capture the waves in plastic bags ,looking blissfully happy . I looked at them all carefree and happy wishing with all my heart that I could acquire the art of living life soon enough

Oxford English dictionary defines refugee as “a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster”. In the light of this definition this can be analyzed with ease that refugee is everything but not a person who leaves his home country happily and with his will .Before getting down to the business let’s look into the history briefly.
For many years white supremacists ruled territory of Hindustan. After decades of foreign subjection patriotic nationalist of the enslaved nation woke up to raise their voices for their countrymen and demanded the potentate rulers to hand over the state to its real heirs. Muhammad Ali Jinnah an insightful and prescient Muslim leader foresaw that Muslims of south Asia will remained deprived of their rights even if they get rid of British rule because Hindu would become the dominant political power of the region after the end of British regimen. Therefore he demanded to divide Hindustan in two parts Pakistan for Muslims and Hindustan for Hindus, To cut the long story short Pakistan came into being 0n 14th august 1947 and it was announced that anyone interested to live in newly born country could move to new Muslim state from their birth places. Muslims who were at that time living in those region of Hindustan which were not included in Pakistan experienced a great dilemma, for their home country had now been divided in to two parts and they had to choose one of them. Most Muslims decided to migrate to newly formed Muslim state. They eventually left India and all their belongings including their homes, friends, reltives, business and most importantly their birth places. During the process of migration they did not consider any lose as a lose as they were happy were moving to an Islamic country which was come into being for Muslims of Hindustan. The notable point here is these people were leaving their country not to join another country instead their migration was towards their own country from their birth places. This migration was way different in all its forms and contrary to the definition of migration which is globally accepted.similary these migrants have nothing in common with the Afghan ,Burma migrants in our country or similar migrants with all in the same situations in other parts of the world. This poorly understood situation had brought the name of “Muhajir” for the moving from india at that time. The name Muhajjir is nothing but a misnomer for them. Accepting this name is like living a life of an expatriate in your own country!
obliviously everyone among these destitute, exhausted bunches of migrants adopted this term “muhajjir” for themselves from then till now even the purely Pakistan born babies born to pure Pakistani parents are called “ muhajirs”.what a foolishly adopted term indeed”. subsequently the name “muhajjir” was stamped and endorsed by the formation of “ Muhajjir qoami movement”. The party was founded to protect the rights of urdu- speaking minority in the Sindhi spoken province of Pakistan, But the major blunder again was to accept the term “Muhajjir”. This ominous mistake had resulted in the division of Sindhi nation in two communities .i.e Sindhi and Muhajjir.
According to history of Sindh, people of different ethnic and cultural background had migrated to Sindh in different period of time but in the course of time they adopted the Sindhi language and its culture thus making a uniform nation i.e “Sindhi”
Contrarily, for many reasons the newly arrived Urdu-speaking Pakistani could not adopt the Sindhi culture and Sindhi language, this failure and the name muhajjir have created many ethnical, social, linguistic differences between these two communities of Sindh they both have lost trust in each other and have built up mistrust, insecurities, partiality, hatred . Conflicts on many things had caused both of them to shed blood of each other, their differences and conflicts had also been politically exploited. Still the situation is extremely worst. Now the time has come to review the past mistakes in the broader perspective its time to rectify the past blunders.
The first step in the right direction is to replace the inappropriately tagged name muhajir with “Urdu-speaking Sindhi” or “Urdu Speaking Pakistani”.
Urdu –speaking communities should be educated not to use term muhajjir for themselves.
Sindhi speaking population should also understand that who they call or consider Muahjjir are not Muhajjir instead they are just like you ,are the “son of soil”..
